Just found out the brakes on my car have to be replaced immediately or they could fail. $1000.00.
It just keeps getting better and better I tell you.
Pinch me, I must be dreaming, because I am having such a great time.
Edit: 5:07 p.m. - First quote Canadian Tire $1000.00, second quote Midas $800.00. You can bet there will be more quotes before I borrow the money to fix the brakes, and if God takes me over the side of a bridge before that happens then that's some money saved for my headstone.

Hmm looks like everyone else is saying the same thing as me.... yes get a second oppinion.
Depending on what parts need replacing. If the pads are the issue 1000 is Crazy.
If the roaters a ground out you may be closer 5 bills.
But if your entire braking mechanism needs to be replaced including lines I can see a grand give or take a couple hundred.

Ouch that is a lot. Just out of curiosity I wonder if it would be $1000 if you got a 'manly' looking man to do it.

Ask them specifically what it is. If it's just the brake pads that need replacing, you're paying way too much.
Your best bet is to ask around your friend circles, someone usually knows a guy who works at a garage who will do it on his own time for less $. That's what I do.

If you're paying over $200 for a complete breakjob, that's to much. Someone's trying to rip you off.
