I am also going to order this. I have been thinking about going to see a hypnotherapist in person but I'll see how the $22.00 CD works first.
Anybody ever used a a hypnosis CD or an actual hypnotherapist? Did it work???

South Beach Diet
I started the South Beach diet today...seems pretty healthy...having trouble with no caffeine though. And of course I miss my Stella's already! But the first phase is only two weeks and it says you can lose up to 14 pounds. We'll see.

What age do you act?
This is not a shock to me and I'm sure it wouldn't be a shock to anybody who knows me...just the fact that I do tests like this and post them on a blog is a clue!
You Are 26 Years Old
20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences

Think Happy Thoughts
Since January 24th has now been mathematically proven to be the most depressing day of the year , I thought I might prepare myself by writing out some random quotes.
When it is dark enough, you can see the stars.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
To love and win is the best thing. To love and lose, the next best.
William M. Thackeray
Love is always bestowed as a gift -- freely, willingly, and without expectation...We don't love to be loved; we love to love.
Leo Buscaglia
You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt, as young as your self-confidence, as old as your fear, as young as your hope, as old as your despair.
Paul H. Duhn
People are just about as happy as they make up their minds to be.
Abraham Lincoln
A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes.
Hugh Downs
The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved - loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves.
Victor Marie Hugo

Don't waste the pretty!
Let's go back three months or so...
Someone who loves me: "Robin you should really read this book I saw it on Oprah, it's called "He's Just Not That Into You"
Me: "Are you kidding me?!? I'm not going to read that book, those women they talk about are pathetic!!!! I do not need some jerk author telling me that I'm an idiot because I'm not married!"
Obviously that conversation was over. Flash forward a few weeks...
My mom: "There's a show on Larry King right now about a book that you might find really interesting, it's a number 1 seller, it's called "He's Not That Into You"
Me: " Oh Really?!? Well you know what mom?? You have no idea what my life is like, I am not a statistic, and I do not need some guy who wrote a book telling me how stupid I am because I am still single at thirty-four."
This conversation ended just as abruptly as the first one...I called back later and apologized for freaking out, but explained to my mother that I had NO intention of reading some self help book about pathetic, lonely, desperate, women because I was fine.
A few days ago...
Somebody else who obviously likes me a lot: "I just read the book "He's Not That Into You", you should read it Robin"
Me: "Yeah, whatever, I have no interest in that book, thanks anyway...and why would you read it? You just moved in with your boyfriend."
My buddy: "Well my friend bought it and I was interested in reading it. It's really funny. I can ask her if you can borrow it."
Did she not hear me say no?
By this point I have succumbed to the fact that if I don't read it, I am going to be asked over and over again, by many, many, people why I haven't. So I say "Okay". ugh.
Today...
The book is delivered to me. I come home, take it out and start reading...and I don't put it down. I read the entire book from start to finish in about an hour and a half. I laugh, I cry. And I realize that I will never be the same. Can you imagine reading a book that at first made you SO angry and then turned out to be life changing? I know it sounds dramatic, but I gotta be me. If you are a single girl you should read this book. If you are a girl in a relationship you should read this book. Married woman? Read it. Gay man? Ditto. I know I am now the irritating 'book pusher', and you are smarter than all of the people who would read a book like this, but just humour me. Or anyone else that may have suggested you read it.
And don't waste the pretty. (You'll understand what that means after you read it!!)
Happy reading my pretties.

Things I need
Went to visit my brother and his girlfriend Mitchie on Saturday night. Had an awesome time until Sunday morning when the hangover almost killed me.
Whilst there I learned that I need a few things (ha ha whilst that's funny stuff!)
1. A Game Cube
2. Playstation 2
3. Walkie Talkies
4. A sweet condo downtown
5. A tiny dog that I can dress up in tiny coats
6. Light Cheese Whiz
***Picture of said tiny dog, in the cutest little coat to be posted shortly...

There's something about Denis
I don't know what it is, maybe it's the Irish thing, or the attitude, but I find Denis Leary very hot.

Body Shop Nut Body Scrub
mmmmmmmm...
This stuff makes you smell like a delicious cake, and it makes your skin so soft.
This has been a public service announcement for the girls (or the guys who like to smell like dessert)

Oh it gets better...
I forgot to thank my "nephew" Pinschy (see above) for his email wishing me a happy birthday :)
And tonight I got to go out for another delish dinner with my good friend Ollie. Not only that but she gave me a black suede skirt that fits perfectly! Good times...

Thankful
I had such a great birthday...I got beautiful flowers sent to my work and a dozen long stem terra cotta coloured roses sent to my house. I got phone calls and emails from all my favorite people. I got a card from my parents that was so sweet it made me cry. I got a D.V.D. player (yes I know I should have jumped into the new millenium before now) I got a L.A.M.B. purse (Gwen Stefani's stuff) I had an awesome lunch with the girls at work. And for dinner I had my favorite meal, crab legs and steak, at the Keg, with one of my favorite people.
