Did you know that it is against the law for teachers to get with students in North Carolina, even if they are BOTH adults?? What kind of stupid law is that?
Had a dream last night that I was driving along a road really fast and then all of the sudden I see HUGE potholes that I have to avoid. Like GRAND CANYON sized potholes. At another point I was stuck in a tree. It was HUGE too.
What do you think about that?

Or maybe something inspirational? Well, I am the Hatleyman and those things just normally don't fly out of me. But when I find that you stopped because someone got you down...I knew exactly where you were coming from. Bloggers that don't just click the next button when they find something they don't like can go...well, they can just go.

I just want to say again how glad I am that you are back. That may seem a little strange considering that I haven't been coming by much, but if someone asked me to recommend a talented photographer-blogger, you would be in my top three. You have a wonderful eye for photography. I have been to the blog of one of those B's and your blog is so much better than hers it's not even funny.

it's not fair for a student to have sex with a teacher because it might influence the marking (good or bad, I guess). Plus, the teacher could use the power of being a teacher to coerce the student into a sexual relationship. I say, it's a bad idea.
I think your dreams show you trying to overcome obstacles that have been placed in your way. Maybe you're stressed about it.

That teacher/student story was strange to me.

I've been having funky dreams, too. This morning I woke up to a tiger mosquito biting the crap out of me. I'm guessing you Canadians don't have these fuckers yet. Hope you never get them. They hurt and they come out all the time, day and night.

I learned on the Simpsons that it's illegal to put squirrels in your pants for the purposes of gambling.
That was an episode of Boston Public in 2001! The school had to let the teacher be with the 18 year old senior, but alas, they fired him for compromise of ethics.
The same law doesn't seem to apply for former students as I once taught at a school where a teacher remet and married a former student (years later) and both taught there while he promoted to a serious level position in the district.

Oh, I forgot to comment on the topic at hand...I think it's the American way to make everyone feel like every thought they have - every feeling they have - every thought of lust - just makes you go right to HELL or JAIL for not being morally correct.
That's how our governemt works down here...FEAR everything - or go to HELL or JAIL.

Even if it weren't illegal, teachers getting with students (of any age) is unprofessional and unethical.
So I guess there should be a law (where if broken you will be arrested, have a record and possibly serve time)for underlings sleeping with their bosses even if BOTH parties are adults??
Where exactly would this LAW stop?
