oh, and in case you want to have some macguyver-esque fun with it, one thing i like to do is color pieces of scotch tape different colors and tape over the flash. the colors should be very, very light, though. the a85 wants to shoot everything in flash mode, so you might want to learn quickly how to disable it, or take more shots in the night setting (the icon with the dude and star).
and try out the 'vivid' and 'black and white' modes as well (hit 'func' and scroll down to 'effects'
