This is Rick Mercer:

I met him today.

If you don't know who he is, then I am guessing you aren't Canadian. He's one of our non-Americanized celebrities.

He was the keynote speaker today at a conference I went to, and he was funnier than anybody has ever been funny.

I got my picture taken with him, on my camera phone, because I didn't have my regular camera with me which SUCKS...so you'll just have to trust me or come over to my house and look at the pictures in my cell phone.

  1. I can't imagine that there is anyone out there that is funnier than me. But then, that's just me, and I could very well be biased.

  4. He makes me realize that one of the great things about Canadian comics is that they're not afraid to make fun of themselves in the process too.
He's a funny man who could have grown too big for his britches, but he hasn't.
    I'm a bit jealous. =)

  12. I'll head right on over then. For whatever it's worth, I saw Jay Leno live, and he was funnier than I had ever seen him be in my entire life. I nearly peed myself. And I met Cybill Shepherd. I got her to autograph a copy of her autobiography. She's wild, like "invite her to a party and she'll pass out naked in your living room" wild. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

  13. You met Rick Mercer? Very cool. Last week I had a friend take a picture of me "picking his nose" (standing in front of a CBC building mural of him) - I was going to email it to him, (since I imagine he likely has a good sense of humour about stuff like that) but it didn't turn out. I'm sure your pictures with him were a bit more dignified....
