The Past is Over

From a book I am reading:

"Oh, you say, if only I knew then what I know now my whole life would be different. Of course it would. But guess what?? You didn't know. Or if you did, you didn't do what you knew you needed to be doing.
So it's DONE. FINISHED. SETTLED.
Sometimes life is unfair.
But that's okay.
You can move on.
You can get over it.
Stop asking yourself why you didn't do what you should have done. The real question is: What are you going to do about it now?"

  1. That's a good question. Scary but good. :) May I know the title of the book?

  2. Wise words there Robin. You've got it so right. And that's what I'm dealing with at the moment: letting go and moving right along. Your entry has just inspired me more :)

  3. I'm with Laurian on that one. Thanks loads for that. Again. It's kind of like a text-based massage or something.

  9. I feel like I'm in school and I haven't studied. Who is he? Corinna says "he isn't worth it," but who is he? What did he do? So you want to borrow that guy's wooden leg, eh? I have two really good softball bats from "Back in The Day" that would probably work better. They are really, really heavy bats. Seriously.

  12. I'm currently reading the normal operating procedures for the Bell 212 Helicopter, can't say I've found anything quote worthy yet.

Hmmm. You should have attended Amber Frey's talk at the Learning Annex on "How to turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones." The world is that much richer for Scott Peterson's ex-girlfriend being on the lecture circuit.

  14. Yes, that's right. Failure is only a fact when you give up. Everyone gets knocked down, the question is: Will you get back up?
