Vimy Ridge 90th anniversary

It is said that upon learning of the victory at Vimy Ridge, a soldier from France exclaimed, "C'est impossible!.", and upon learning it was the Canadians who had won it, replied "Ah! les Canadiens! C'est possible!."

That quote makes me want to cry and do karate kicks all at once.

I think you've been watching too much UFC =P

We Canadians are so under-rated.

I've been to Vimy Ridge and it was quite the experience. The Canadians were well revered during the first World War and they were called upon to get things done. I'm not too sure what happened during the second world war, but we weren't the fighting machine that we were in 1914. Oh well.

I guess I need to google this, because I don't think I've ever heard of it.

Damn Americans ~ we're so selectively taught.

I've taught Vimy Ridge several times and the kids get a kick out of it. It's a great thing in our history.

Dude.......it was the French. On a good day the Girl Scouts can kick their ass. 'sides Binny, back then Canadiens had The Rocket Richard, everything was Paw-see-bluh.

It'd been cool if your Leafs AND the Isles had made the playoffs, but hey, maybe next year. I'm hoping that the Islanders can at least win one game against the Sabres, but I doubt it. Buffalo will somehow win the series in 3 games due to some mercy rule they'll make up on the spot.

I gave up on seeing the Sens win the cup about 6yrs ago. They always seem to choke. The Canucks are Canada's only hope for a cup this year (Luongo). If I'm wrong, I'll let you kiss me.

I'm picking the Ducks to win it all. If I'm right, I'll let you kiss me.

Yeah, good for us!

Paul should learn more history -- our record in World War Two (and Korea) was equally impressive. Try googling Juno Beach or the Scheldt Estuary -- just two of the many battle honours Canadian units earned back then.

If you're going to do the karate kicks please video that and put it up on YouTube. I haven't seen any new Binsk videos in awhile. My addiction needs feeding.
